What is Coffee Crawl Series?

Coffee Crawl Series started out as separate passion projects of Franz (Coffee Crawler PH), Lendl and Iana (Coffee Cup Series). In 2016, after meeting at a specialty coffee event in Manila, Philippines, they have decided to come together and form the pioneer coffee crawl group in the country.

In the spirit of collaboration, Coffee Crawl Series is a combination of Franz’s and Iana’s passion project names – “coffee crawl” from Coffee Crawler PH and “series” from Coffee Cup Series.

Now, a team of eight, Coffee Crawl Series is the main specialty coffee social media account in the Philippines which aims to promote specialty coffee awareness among Filipinos and showcase the local coffee scene in the Philippines to the world.

The Team

Franz Domasian

Founder | Coffee Crawl Curator

A graduate from the University of Santo Tomas with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Franz is an Investment Compliance consultant on weekdays and an active coffee enthusiast on weekends. Aside from coffee, he enjoys watching local indie films and is a resident movie-goer at local micro cinemas in the metro.

Iana Peralta

Founder | Visual Content Manager

Iana is a coffee enthusiast and barista wannabe who loves to explore and promote the coffee scene in the Philippines by rounding up the best local coffee shops and featuring them on Instagram. Aside from her love for coffee, Iana is into photography and uses her skills to capture scenes from the cafes that she visits. This visual storyteller shares her coffee experiences and adventures here and abroad through photos. She is also a home brewer who enjoys experimenting with different manual brewing methods.

Lendl

Founder | PR & Communications Manager

Resident coffee geek Lendl loves brewing coffee at home and at work. He likes tasting coffees, whether they are good or bad. Exploring the world of coffee one single origin at a time, Lendl is currently inclined on naturally-processed coffees.

Jenn Tan

Digital Liaison

Jenn is a freelance IT professional who found her calling in coffee. She loves anything and everything about the cafe lifestyle from taking photos, making latte art, experimenting with beverages and brewing her own cup of coffee. She balances her time between running a cafe and a coffee cart, watching tons of TV series and running websites for her clients.

Audrey Alegre

Marketing Strategist

Audrey has been a coffee drinker since her university days, just about the same time the first Starbucks in the Philippines opened. She loves spending her me-time in nice coffee shops. Her curiosity for coffee origins & brewing methods grew when third wave coffee shops started to become popular in Manila in 2013. Joining the coffee crawls organized by Coffee Crawl Series made her appreciate the farm to cup journey even more. Interestingly, coffee also indirectly led Audrey to pursue the world of digital marketing.

Marjan Patrick Victoria

Visual Content Creator

Being in the IT industry for seven years, coffee has been a necessity for lazy Mondays and hectic deadlines for Patrick. While his love for coffee started with photography, he soon discovered that there’s so much more to a great café than its beautiful interiors and amazing latte art. Patrick’s coffee journey may have just started but he continuously strives to learn about different beans and brewing methods while in pursuit of the most breathtaking coffee shops.

Rocelle Aragon

Coffee Event Strategist

Rocelle defines herself as a what if-er and explores cities through their coffeeshops. Most days, she wakes to the gurgle of a cornflower-patterned percolator as vintage and cranky she claims to be (she’s not!). When she’s not drinking coffee, she and her friend samples the best of the city in terms of food.

Monica Macaraeg

Chief Content Manager

Freelance content writer and virtual assistant Monica spent years writing about single origin coffees before actually trying them. Unbound by the traditional office cubicle, she perches herself to work wherever there’s coffee and wifi. This amateur home brewer started making her own pourover coffee using an 88-peso dripper from Daiso.
